About the designer:
Ali Gallefoss (b. 1989, Bergen) is an artist and designer who works with a wide range of materials and techniques, focusing on the unexpected opportunities that arise during the creative process. His work bridges the gap between functionality and artistic expression, challenging the traditional boundaries between art and design while offering fresh insights into the modern world. Gallefoss holds a BA in Furniture and Spatial Design from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design and an MA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. He was named Newcomer of the Year at Bo Bedre’s Design Awards in 2020 and has exhibited at venues such as QB Gallery (Oslo, 2022 and 2021), Galleri Format (Oslo, 2022 and 2020), Adorno (London, 2021), 3daysofdesign (Copenhagen, 2020), Dover Street Market (Beijing, 2019), and the Stockholm Furniture Fair (2017), among others. Gallefoss currently lives and works in Oslo, Norway.
